I have added a new thing to our family blog. Kylie-isms. She just says some of the funniest most random things, that make me laugh. Hopefully it will put a smile on your face too.

January Catch Up

Our family had a wonderful time up in Canada. The kids were so excited to go to Grandma's and Grandpa's for Christmas. When I was carrying Kylie out the car at 5am she said "Oh thank-you, thank-you thank-you mommy for taking me to Grandma's house". It was just so sincere and sweet the way she said it and was so surprising that she understood that's where we were going so early in the morning. On the 14 hour drive the kids were wonderful and just couldn't wait to get there.

Well Canada was very cold and snowy, more so than I can remember for a long time. But it was so nice to spend time with my family enjoying the holidays. Caleb and Kylie had a wonderful time sleeping next to each other on the floor of our room it was an adventure for them. They loved playing with Grandma's toys. Caleb especially loved the marble works he played with it for hours on end. He also loved to watch Uncle Ammaron play his guitar while he played on uncle's harmonica.

Kylie became a Grandma's girl this trip she just wanted to sit up in Grandma's room with her watching T.V. What a pair these two make they have the same favorite things such a bubble baths, T.V., and snuggling up under warm blankets. Needless to say Grandma loves it. While at my Mom's dental office Kylie saw her working on teeth and Kylie in complete amazement said "Grandma your a Doctor!". Oh the things she says, she is always making us laugh.

Tori has been growing up so fast. While on our trip she started eating solid foods. She really doesn't like them but Grandpa sure had fun trying to feed her. For it being her first trip she was really good and made the drive pretty easy on us she is such a sweetheart.

Christmas was wonderful. The kids were spoiled as always. They got lots of books and clothes (my kids like clothes so this doesn't disappoint them at all). Some of their other favorites are Caleb's Cape (batman and superman one on each side)and camera, and Kylie loves her tea set and tag reader. While Tori just loved all the excitement around while she was awake.

Brian had to come home a few days before the kids and I. So my Dad drove down with us he'll take any excuse to spend more time with his grand kids. Well we were so happy to be home. There really is no place like home. Unfortunately Caleb and I got sick right away (Darn McDonald's).

New Year's eve was quite at our home. We told the kids Happy New Year and put them to bed a little later the usual. It was nice for Brian and I to spend a quite new year's together (with Tori of course she's a night owl). New Year's Day we took the kids to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. Brian got me a family pass for Christmas. I love it!!! We have already used it 4 times. So if anyone wants to go with us let us know and you can get in for half the normal price. Such a great deal.

January unfortunately has been full of being sick for us. Nothing too serious just one thing after another. In between being sick we have gotten back to our normal schedule for the most part. We had Auntie Amber's Birthday Party here. Caleb was so convinced that it was a surprise party that he kept trying to get everyone to hide and turn off the lights. Amber is a wonderful aunt and the kids absolutely adore her. It's so hard to believe that she's 21! My little sister is growing up.

Hopefully I'll get better at posting more often as I figure out more about it blogging thing.
